On 9 July 2026 (Thursday), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), represented by the Retail Division – Customer Engagement Kedah (SME & Residential), paid an official visit to the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) office.

The engagement was attended by Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, Secretary of Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI), who provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration, foster closer engagement with the business community, and exchange information on TNB’s customer initiatives and services.

MAICCI MUDRA ROADSHOW 2026 SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES IN KEDAH, EMPOWERING INDIAN ENTREPRENEURS THROUGH STRATEGIC FINANCIAL AND BUSINESS SUPPORT

The 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐂𝐂𝐈’s 𝐌𝐔𝐃𝐑𝐀 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 – 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞, held on 𝟐𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐢 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢, 𝐊𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐡, was successfully concluded with strong participation from entrepreneurs across the state.

Organised by the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) , the programme brought together key financial and development agencies, including SME Bank-Bank Perusahaan Kecil & Sederhana, SME Corp. Malaysia, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, Tekun Nasional, Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM), AffinMy, Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), and BSN Malaysia.

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) successfully held its 28th Annual General Meeting on 14 June 2026.

The AGM provided an opportunity to review the Chamber’s achievements, discuss future initiatives, and strengthen our commitment towards supporting the growth of the Indian business community in Kedah.

KICCI JOINS KCCCI 90th ANNIVERSARY GALA DINNER TO STRENGTHEN BUSINESS UNITY AND NETWORKING

The President of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI), Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, together with Vice President Mr. Kumaresan Ramanathan, attended the 90th Anniversary Gala Dinner of the Kedah Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCCI) and the 14th Anniversary Celebration of its Youth Entrepreneurs Committee, held at Frazer Expo & Convention Hall, Alor Setar, on 13 June 2026.

The prestigious event was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Menteri Besar Kedah. Also in attendance was YB Tuan Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives.

This distinguished celebration brought together industry leaders, government representatives, business communities, and honoured guests from within and outside the state. The event served as an excellent platform to strengthen business networks, foster strategic collaborations, and promote closer ties among the diverse business communities in Kedah.

KICCI extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Kedah Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCCI) on the remarkable milestone of its 90th anniversary. AFFIN BANK COURTESY VISIT TO KICCI STRENGTHENS BUSINESS FINANCING COLLABORATION

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) was pleased to host an official courtesy visit by representatives of Affin Bank on 12 June 2026.

The session was attended by KICCI President Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, Vice President Mr. Kumaresan Ramanathan, Secretary Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, Committee Member Mr. Karthikeyan Navaneethan, together with KICCI member Mr.Logeswaran Chandra and the AFFIN Bank delegation.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between AFFIN Bank and KICCI while providing members with valuable insights into the bank’s business financing solutions. Discussions covered available business loan facilities, eligibility criteria, application procedures, financing schemes, interest/profit rates, financing limits, and other benefits available to businesses and SMEs.

The engagement was productive and informative, offering KICCI members a better understanding of the financial solutions and opportunities available to support business growth and expansion.

On 11 June 2026 at 12:30 PM, Mr.Azri Adin, Chairman of TEKUN Nasional Kedah, together with representatives from TEKUN Nasional Kedah, paid a courtesy visit to the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) office to strengthen the relationship between both organizations and explore opportunities for future collaboration. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, Secretary of KICCI, who represented the Chamber during the official meeting.

During the engagement, TEKUN Nasional Kedah presented an overview of its business financing programmes, highlighting the range of financial facilities available to support entrepreneurs and business owners. The briefing covered key aspects of the financing schemes, including financing amounts, applicable profit rates, eligibility criteria, and the application process. The session provided KICCI members with valuable insights into the financial assistance available through TEKUN Nasional, aimed at helping businesses expand, improve operational capacity, and achieve sustainable growth.

The meeting also served as a platform for constructive discussions on strengthening entrepreneurship and enhancing support for the business community in Kedah. KICCI MEMBERS SHINE AT THE NCER NEST AWARDS 2026 WITH PRESTIGIOUS INDUSTRY RECOGNITION

Members of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) proudly attended the Award and Networking High Tea organized by the NCER Entrepreneur Sustainable Transformation Programme (NEST) on 24 April 2026, held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Light Hotel, Penang.

We are pleased to share that our Deputy President, Mr.Loganathan Muniandy, is representing Metal Dot Machinery Sdn. Bhd. was honoured with the Global Export Excellence Award. In addition, KICCI member Mr. Elan Tamilan representing Rek Engineering Machinery Sdn. Bhd. received the Rising Star Award.

We are also proud to highlight that KICCI Secretary, Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, attended this prestigious award function, further reflecting the chamber’s strong presence and support for its members.

KICCI STRENGTHENS STRATEGIC BUSINESS TIES AT DEWAN PERNIAGAAN MELAYU MALAYSIA NEGERI KEDAH’S MAJLIS JAMUAN

Members of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) were honoured to attend the *Majlis Jamuan* hosted by the Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia Negeri Kedah on Thursday, 23 April 2026, at The Jerai Hotel, Alor Setar.

The event, which commenced at 12:30 PM, concluded successfully in a warm and collegial atmosphere. KICCI was duly represented by its Committee Member, Mr. Karthikeyan Navaneethan and Kicci member Mr. Mogan Raj whose presence underscored the Chamber’s continued commitment to fostering strong ties within the broader business community.

KICCI SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS AKPK TALK ON SMALL DEBT RESOLUTION SCHEME, EMPOWERING THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY WITH REPAYMENT ASSISTANCE INSIGHTS

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) successfully organised a talk on *Repayment Assistance under the Small Debt Resolution Scheme by AKPK* on Saturday, 18 April 2026, in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, this informative session provided valuable guidance to participants on managing debt and understanding repayment assistance options available through AKPK.

The session was delivered in Tamil by Mr. Navakumar Balakrishnan, Branch Head of AKPK Penang, whose clear and insightful presentation was well received by attendees.

We are pleased to note the strong participation and positive response from the audience. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their presence and engagement, which contributed to the success of this programme.
