KICCI Participates in OSCAR Programme – Special Engagement with OCPD Kuala Muda

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) participated in the OSCAR Programme – A Special Engagement with the Officer in Charge of Police District (OCPD) of Kuala Muda, held on 17 August 2026 at 5.00 PM at Gandhi Hall, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

KICCI Vice President Mr. Kumaresan Ramanathan and Secretary Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, together with KICCI members, attended the programme, which provided a meaningful platform for engagement between KICCI, the business community and the Kuala Muda police.

The programme focused on strengthening ties, sharing community concerns, and enhancing public safety awareness. The open and constructive engagement provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of importance to the community and to encourage closer cooperation between the business community and the authorities.

KICCI greatly appreciates the opportunity to participate in this important engagement and values the continued efforts of the Kuala Muda police Polis Daerah Kuala Muda in maintaining peace, safety and security within the community.

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) was honoured to welcome an official delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Penang, in a meaningful engagement aimed at strengthening bilateral business relations and creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs in both Malaysia and Indonesia.

The delegation was led by Mrs. Yomi Ayu Lestari, Economic Consul, together with Mrs. Shaffira Aswinata, who visited the KICCI office to officially invite KICCI members, entrepreneurs, and the wider business community to participate in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026.

TNB Smart Strategic Business Partnership Townhall 2026

On 31 July 2026 (Friday), the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI), in collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), successfully organized the TNB Smart Strategic Business Partnership Townhall 2026 at Purest Hotel, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

The programme brought together entrepreneurs, SMEs, business owners, and professionals for an informative knowledge-sharing session aimed at strengthening collaboration between the business community and TNB.

The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, Secretary of KICCI, followed by a welcome address from the TNB Kedah Management. The programme was also attended by KICCI Committee Members Mr. Ramesh Natarajan, Mr. Manivasagam Subramaniam, and Miss Koamathi Supramanian, demonstrating KICCI’s commitment to supporting business development initiatives.

Participants gained valuable insights through presentations on the Green Electricity Tariff (GET), Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), commercial power solutions, workplace safety, smart meter initiatives, and energy efficiency services. An interactive Q&A session and the myTNB Service Counter provided attendees with direct assistance and practical solutions to their business and electricity-related enquiries.
