The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) successfully concluded a Refresher Session on E-Invoice Implementation for 2026 on 29 December 2025, held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the KICCI Office.
The session brought together entrepreneurs and business leaders, serving as a timely platform to enhance awareness, strengthen compliance readiness, and deepen understanding of e-invoice requirements ahead of the 2026 implementation.
A Valuable Engagement for Our Business Community
Today, the Kedah Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) successfully concluded an insightful and impactful engagement session with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Kedah, held at Park Avenue Hotel, Sungai Petani. From 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, entrepreneurs and business operators had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of efficient electricity usage, strategies to reduce workplace energy costs, and important information on tampering cases involving electricity meters linked to bitcoin-related activities. The session also featured comprehensive briefings on electricity tariff restructuring, the nation’s energy transition through Solar PV system installations, and practical energy efficiency tips that businesses can adopt immediately. 
This program served as an excellent platform for knowledge-sharing, enabling local businesses to stay informed, responsible, and future-ready in energy management. A sincere appreciation to all participants for making this meaningful initiative a success. 
The members of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) attended the State-Level Deepavali Celebration 2025 (Majlis Sambutan Perayaan Deepavali Peringkat Negeri Kedah Darul Aman 2025) held on Saturday, 1 November 2025, at 7.30 p.m. at Dewan SP Swarnabumi, Sungai Petani, Kedah Darul Aman.
The event was graced and officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Haji Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Menteri Besar of Kedah, and Yang Berhormat Tuan Wong Chia Zhen, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Kedah (Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Sumber Manusia, Masyarakat Cina, India & Siam & NGO )
The celebration brought together leaders, community representatives, and guests from various backgrounds to commemorate the Festival of Lights in the spirit of unity, harmony, and cultural appreciation. The event featured traditional performances, festive greetings, and meaningful interactions that reflected the diverse and inclusive spirit of Kedah.
KICCI is honoured to have participated in this auspicious occasion and extends its gratitude to the State Government of Kedah for organising a memorable and vibrant Deepavali celebration.

The Kedah Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (KICCI) had the honour of participating in the Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (MAICCI) 74th Annual Delegate Conference 2025, held at Dewan Mahkota, SME Corp, Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, 30th October 2025, at 11:00 a.m. 
This distinguished event brought together influential entrepreneurs,and business leaders from across the nation — all converging with a shared purpose: to strengthen collaboration, empower innovation, and drive sustainable economic growth within the Malaysian Indian business community. 
The conference served as a dynamic platform for meaningful discussions, strategic networking, and the exchange of transformative ideas. It was truly inspiring to witness the synergy of experienced professionals and emerging leaders shaping the future of trade and industry. The insights, unity, and spirit of partnership experienced throughout the event have further strengthened our determination to uplift and support our business members towards new horizons of success. 
As we continue our journey, KICCI remains deeply committed to fostering growth, building strategic alliances, and creating opportunities that benefit not only our members but the broader community. Together, we move forward — stronger, connected, and ready for the future of commerce.

Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KICCI) members participated in the Engagement Session on the Draft Statistics Bill 202X (Sesi Libat Urus Penggubalan RUU Statistik 202X) organized by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) Perak for the Northern Zone, held at Hotel Kinta Riverfront, Ipoh, on 14 October 2025 (Tuesday). The session was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician of Malaysia.
This engagement aims to enhance understanding and awareness among stakeholders on the importance of data, DOSM’s evolving roles, and the impact of the upcoming Statistics Bill on the National Statistical System. It also serves to gather feedback and support for the review of the Statistics Act 1965 [Act 415] and the finalization of the Statistics Bill 2025 in line with current needs.

Population & Demographics – Identifying business concentrations and growth areas.
SME & Business Statistics – Understanding sectoral trends and new opportunities.
