The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) was pleased to host an official courtesy visit by representatives of Affin Bank on 12 June 2026.

The session was attended by KICCI President Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, Vice President Mr. Kumaresan Ramanathan, Secretary Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, Committee Member Mr. Karthikeyan Navaneethan, together with KICCI member Mr.Logeswaran Chandra and the AFFIN Bank delegation.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between AFFIN Bank and KICCI while providing members with valuable insights into the bank’s business financing solutions. Discussions covered available business loan facilities, eligibility criteria, application procedures, financing schemes, interest/profit rates, financing limits, and other benefits available to businesses and SMEs.

The engagement was productive and informative, offering KICCI members a better understanding of the financial solutions and opportunities available to support business growth and expansion.

On 11 June 2026 at 12:30 PM, Mr.Azri Adin, Chairman of TEKUN Nasional Kedah, together with representatives from TEKUN Nasional Kedah, paid a courtesy visit to the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) office to strengthen the relationship between both organizations and explore opportunities for future collaboration. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, Secretary of KICCI, who represented the Chamber during the official meeting.

During the engagement, TEKUN Nasional Kedah presented an overview of its business financing programmes, highlighting the range of financial facilities available to support entrepreneurs and business owners. The briefing covered key aspects of the financing schemes, including financing amounts, applicable profit rates, eligibility criteria, and the application process. The session provided KICCI members with valuable insights into the financial assistance available through TEKUN Nasional, aimed at helping businesses expand, improve operational capacity, and achieve sustainable growth.

The meeting also served as a platform for constructive discussions on strengthening entrepreneurship and enhancing support for the business community in Kedah. MAJLIS RUMAH TERBUKA HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI 2026 HOSTED BY THE HONOURABLE MENTERI BESAR OF KEDAH

The President of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, together with the Secretary, Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, attended the Majlis Rumah Terbuka Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 hosted by the Honourable Menteri Besar of Kedah.

The event was held at the Official Residence of the Menteri Besar, Seri Mentaloon, Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman, on Friday, 27 March 2026, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Their presence reflects the Chamber’s continued commitment to fostering strong relationships and community engagement in conjunction with this festive celebration.

MAJLIS APRESIASI INDUSTRI NEGERI KEDAH 2026

Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) President, Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, and Secretary, Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, attended the Majlis Apresiasi Industri Negeri Kedah 2026 held at Bertam Resort & Water Park, Pulau Pinang, on 29 January 2026.

The event was organised as a gesture of appreciation to investors and strategic partners who have chosen Kedah as their investment destination, thereby contributing to the formulation of the state’s economic direction and future development.

The organisation of this event also symbolises Kedah’s economic achievements. It demonstrates the success of the state’s well-planned development transformation, transitioning from an agriculture-based economy to a modern economy driven by industrial and technological sectors.

The members of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) attended the State-Level Deepavali Celebration 2025 (Majlis Sambutan Perayaan Deepavali Peringkat Negeri Kedah Darul Aman 2025) held on Saturday, 1 November 2025, at 7.30 p.m. at Dewan SP Swarnabumi, Sungai Petani, Kedah Darul Aman.

The event was graced and officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Haji Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Menteri Besar of Kedah, and Yang Berhormat Tuan Wong Chia Zhen, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Kedah (Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Sumber Manusia, Masyarakat Cina, India & Siam & NGO )

The celebration brought together leaders, community representatives, and guests from various backgrounds to commemorate the Festival of Lights in the spirit of unity, harmony, and cultural appreciation. The event featured traditional performances, festive greetings, and meaningful interactions that reflected the diverse and inclusive spirit of Kedah.
