KICCI’S BUSINESS MASTERY SESSION 2026

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) successfully hosted the *Business Mastery Session 2026* on Saturday, 18 April 2026, in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

This well-received session, held from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, brought together business owners and professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and improve organisational performance. The programme featured key topics such as Business Fundamentals 2.0, Effective Cash Flow Management, Systematic Document Tracking, and Timely Business Performance Checks.

The session was delivered in Tamil by Mr. Renganathan Kannan, whose expertise and engaging presentation provided valuable, practical insights to all participants.

MAJLIS RUMAH TERBUKA HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI 2026 HOSTED BY THE HONOURABLE MENTERI BESAR OF KEDAH

The President of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, together with the Secretary, Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, attended the Majlis Rumah Terbuka Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 hosted by the Honourable Menteri Besar of Kedah.

The event was held at the Official Residence of the Menteri Besar, Seri Mentaloon, Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman, on Friday, 27 March 2026, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Their presence reflects the Chamber’s continued commitment to fostering strong relationships and community engagement in conjunction with this festive celebration.

A MEANINGFUL EVENING OF ENGAGEMENT AT MAJLIS AMANAT DAN IFTAR 2026

Members of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry were honoured to attend the Majlis Amanat dan Iftar 2026 with Haim Hilman bin Abdullah, Chairman of the Kedah State Committee for Industry & Investment, Higher Education, and Science, Technology & Innovation.

The event was held on 15 March 2026 (Sunday) from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Raia Hotel and Convention Centre Alor Setar, bringing together members of the business community and state leadership for an evening of engagement and collaboration.

MAJLIS APRESIASI INDUSTRI NEGERI KEDAH 2026

Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) President, Mr. Shreekanth Sibastin, and Secretary, Mr. Subramaniam Muthusamy, attended the Majlis Apresiasi Industri Negeri Kedah 2026 held at Bertam Resort & Water Park, Pulau Pinang, on 29 January 2026.

The event was organised as a gesture of appreciation to investors and strategic partners who have chosen Kedah as their investment destination, thereby contributing to the formulation of the state’s economic direction and future development.

The organisation of this event also symbolises Kedah’s economic achievements. It demonstrates the success of the state’s well-planned development transformation, transitioning from an agriculture-based economy to a modern economy driven by industrial and technological sectors.

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Refresher Session on E-Invoice Implementation

The Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) successfully concluded a Refresher Session on E-Invoice Implementation for 2026 on 29 December 2025, held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the KICCI Office.

The session brought together entrepreneurs and business leaders, serving as a timely platform to enhance awareness, strengthen compliance readiness, and deepen understanding of e-invoice requirements ahead of the 2026 implementation.

The session also featured comprehensive briefings on electricity tariff restructuring, the nation’s energy transition through Solar PV system installations, and practical energy efficiency tips that businesses can adopt immediately. ⚡🌱

The members of the Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KICCI) attended the State-Level Deepavali Celebration 2025 (Majlis Sambutan Perayaan Deepavali Peringkat Negeri Kedah Darul Aman 2025) held on Saturday, 1 November 2025, at 7.30 p.m. at Dewan SP Swarnabumi, Sungai Petani, Kedah Darul Aman.

The event was graced and officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Haji Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Menteri Besar of Kedah, and Yang Berhormat Tuan Wong Chia Zhen, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Kedah (Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Sumber Manusia, Masyarakat Cina, India & Siam & NGO )

The celebration brought together leaders, community representatives, and guests from various backgrounds to commemorate the Festival of Lights in the spirit of unity, harmony, and cultural appreciation. Engagement Session on the Draft Statistics Bill 202X (Sesi Libat Urus Penggubalan RUU Statistik 202X) organized by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) Perak for the Northern Zone

Kedah Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KICCI) members participated in the Engagement Session on the Draft Statistics Bill 202X (Sesi Libat Urus Penggubalan RUU Statistik 202X) organized by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) Perak for the Northern Zone, held at Hotel Kinta Riverfront, Ipoh, on 14 October 2025 (Tuesday). The session was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician of Malaysia.

This engagement aims to enhance understanding and awareness among stakeholders on the importance of data, DOSM’s evolving roles, and the impact of the upcoming Statistics Bill on the National Statistical System. It also serves to gather feedback and support for the review of the Statistics Act 1965 [Act 415] and the finalization of the Statistics Bill 2025 in line with current needs.

DOSM data is an invaluable resource that supports informed business decisions, including:

1️⃣ Population & Demographics – Identifying business concentrations and growth areas.

2️⃣ SME & Business Statistics – Understanding sectoral trends and new opportunities.
